Most classes use a count to keep the students working together. In a Japanese or Okinawan style the counting or cadence will be in Japanese. The numbers are listed below.

3 san  son
4 shi  she
5 go  go
6 roko  row ko
7 sichi  see chee
8 hachi  hatchee
9 kyu  Q
10 ju  joo
 

To count higher than 10 you must add another number almost like we do in english. (ie. 10 +1 = 11 we say eleven.  In Japanese it would be 10+1 or ju ich (eleven)

How high can you count?

30 san ju etc..
